The Canvas Knight has a 5-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 441 ppi. The Grand 2 has a 5.25-inch TFT display with resolution of 1280 x 720 and 280 ppi.
RAM and Storage
There’s 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (non-expandable) for the Canvas Knight. On the other hand the Galaxy Grand 2 has 1.5GB of RAM and just 8GB of internal storage, but this time that’s expandable to 64GB via microSD.
Camera set-up
The Canvas Knight has a 16-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p video capture, as well as an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The Grand 2 has an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 1080p video recording capability, and also a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera.
Battery
The Canvas Knight has a non-removable 2350 mAh battery while the Grand 2 has a removable 2600 mAh battery.
Connectivity
Both phones support 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS, EDGE and microUSB 2.0. The Grand 2 also offeres DLNA.
Operating System
The Canvas Knight runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat while the Grand 2 runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Price
These phones are currently very similar in pricing. Depending on retailer they can each be purchased from around Rs. 18,000.
The individual designs and also features for these phones are also something you might want to take into consideration, and styling is very much a personal preference. Looking at specs though we can see some notable differences between them.
Advantages for the Canvas Knight include an octa-core processor, a higher-resolution display, more RAM and built-in internal storage, better camera capabilities, and a later version of the Android OS. On the other hand the Galaxy Grand 2 has a slightly larger display, the benefit of expandable storage, a removable battery with a higher capacity, and support for DLNA.
