There’s a huge variety of affordable smartphones available for the market in India, and two that have released recently are the Micromax Canvas 2 Colours A120 and the Xolo Q600s. As these are close in price you may be trying to decide between them, so today we’re giving you a Micromax Canvas 2 Colours vs. Xolo Q600s specs shootout.
We’ll run through the key specs of these two dual SIM devices and this will give you a chance to see what they each have to offer and how they compare against each other. Processors
The Canvas 2 Colours has a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor and Mali-400 GPU. On the other hand the Q600s has a 1.2GHz Broadcom BCM23550 quad-core processor and Broadcom VideoCore IV graphics.
Display
The Canvas 2 Colours has a 5-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 and 294 ppi. The Q600s has a 4.5-inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 960 x 540 and 245 ppi.
RAM and Storage
There’s 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 32GB) for the Canvas 2 Colours. The Q600s also has 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, but this time it’s expandable to 64GB.
Camera set-up
The Canvas 2 Colours has an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 720p video capture, as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. The Q600s has a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 720 video, and a VGA front-facing unit.
Battery
These Micromax and Xolo phones both have 2000 mAh batteries.
Connectivity
Both handsets support 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS, EDGE and microUSB 2.0.
Operating System
The Canvas 2 Colours runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean while the Q600s runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
Price
When the Micromax Canvas 2 Colours launched it was priced at just over Rs. 10,000 but it can now be found at around Rs. 8,500 depending on retailer. The Xolo Q600s was launched at Rs. 8,499 but is now on sale for around Rs. 7,000.
Looking at the specs this is a real case of swings and roundabouts. The Canvas 2 Colours has a larger display with higher resolution and a better camera set-up. However, the Q600s has higher expandable storage and runs a later version of Android. It’s also cheaper than the Canvas 2 Colours.
Therefore much of your design may ultimately come down to which aspects of a phone are more important to you and also your personal preference of design.
