Xiaomi is a manufacturer that’s gearing up to go large in India, and today Hugo Barra unleashed details on several new devices headed to the continent. Launch details were revealed for the several of Xiaomi’s top products including the Redmi Note and Xiaomi Mi Pad.
BGR India posted an article on Xiaomi earlier today touching on the companies issues in India — mainly only having 35,000 units to go with around 350,000 pre-registrations. As you can imagine, some consumers are a little peeved they can’t purchase the Xiaomi Mi3, but they got a bit of a surprise when Hugo Barra showed up in the comments section to break the news on several devices headed to the region.
First up are the Mi Pad and Mi4 which Barra said are undergoing certification and would arrive before the end of the year. The Xiaomi Redmi Note will arrive before Diwali which means it will show up in India before October 23rd. The Mi TV 2 is up in the air with no release date given as they are still looking for content partners. Last but not least, is the Xiaomi Redmi 1S, and it will arrive in a few weeks with an exact date expected before the end of next week.
If you live in India, and are looking to pick up on of Xiaomi’s products, you’ll have quite a few to choose from before 2015 rolls around… depending on the supply. Obviously, the Mi4 and Xiaomi Mi Pad are going to be the priciest of the bunch, but there should be a device, and price point for everyone.
Which Xiaomi device are you most excited to see arrive in India this year?
