It’s been all Apple, all the time for the past few weeks with the whole Bendgate saga and a bevy of iOS 8 issues. Apple is working hard on getting things straightened out, but it appears as if they’re working on something else as well with iOS 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3.
Since the iOS 8 update hit, there have been several small fixes issues to take care of a variety of issues. Depending on your device and luck, you may have gotten through the iOS 8.01 update unscathed — or not. Apple generally only does one big software update each year, but new evidence says that may not be the case in 2015.
Apple is working on iOS 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3, which may seem a little odd considering their usual update schedule. 9to5google learned of the iOS 8.1 update and others through their analytics and an anonymous iOS dev. Apparently people were visiting the site on devices running an iOS 8.1 update before the iOS 8 update even rolled out, but since it’s release they have started seeing iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3 appear on site.
Apple could be working on multiple versions of their OS due to the new hardware on the way or it could have something to do with upcoming new features. This release was certainly buggy, so it’s good to see Apple is getting out ahead of things with iOS 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3.
Have your issues with the iOS 8.02 update been resolved?
