The Obi Falcon S451 specs reveal Rotating Camera and Dual-SIM support

#

Remember that cool rotating camera we saw on the Oppo N1? It was nifty, so much so that Oppo is going back to the well for it again with the upcoming Oppo N3. It looks like another company is trying their hand at the tech as the Obi Falcon S451 specs show a swiveling sensor for a very low price.

The Obi Falcon S451 specs aren’t the most powerful around, but their rotating camera helps the handset stand out from the pack even if it looks a bit like a miniature Oppo N1. The Falcon will sport a 4.5-inch ISP display with a resolution of 960 x 540. Underneath that small slab of glass, resides a 1.3GHz dual-core SoC, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage which can be kicked up to 32GB through a microSD card.

Things get a little better for the Obi Falcon S451 when it comes to the camera. There obviously isn’t a front-facing snapper as the main sensor swivels so you can take pics from either direction. It’s just an 8MP CMOS sensor, but it does have a dual-LED flash and autofocus. Connectivity options for the Obi Falcon S451 include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, and 3G. It’s a dual-SIM handset that runs Android 4.3, and it’s powered by a 2,200mAh battery.

Obi Mobiles was founded by a couple of guys that know a thing or two about smartphones. John Sculley is a name you may know from his time as Apple’s CEO and Ajay Sharma was previously the head of Micromax and HTC India’s smartphone divisions. They recently launched several new handsets in India, and all are in the budget range. The Obi Falcon S451 specs don’t make it a powerhouse, but the price makes it worth a look at as it’s retail price is listed at Rs. 9,999 although you’ll be able to get it cheaper from retailers like Mahesh Telecom which has it for Rs. 7,999.

What do you think about the Obi Falcon S451 specs and price?
