The HP 10 Plus lands at Amazon for $280
Back in July, we told you about a trio of upcoming tablets from HP and one of them has just popped up for sale online. It’s called the HP 10 Plus, and it may be a good option if you’re looking for a cheap Android slate.
As the name implies, the HP 10 Plus is a larger tablet with a 10.1-inch 1,920 x 1,200 display. There’s 2GB of RAM under the hood to go along with 16GB of internal storage. The processor on the HP 10 Plus is really the only downside on the inside as it uses a 1GHz Allwinner A31 chip. It won’t fly through intensive apps or games, but it should get the job done.
In terms of cameras, the HP 10 Plus has a 5MP rear camera and 2MP selfie-snapper. It’s powered by a 7,700mAh battery, and your connectivity options will include USB 2.0, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The slate measures 10.4” x 6.9” x 0.4” and tips the scales at 1.5 lbs. As for the OS, the HP 10 Plus runs Android, but it’s listed as 4.2. Definitely something to keep in mind.
The HP 10 Plus can’t compete with the iPad or Sammy’s QHD tablets, but it’s a whole lot cheaper as it’s listed at $279.99 on Amazon and from HP. If you can deal with the processor and Android 4.2 (it should get an update) the HP 10 Plus is certainly a tablet to consider.
What do you think about the specs and price of the HP 10 Plus?
