Android 5.0 release plans leaked for Asus Zenfone lineup
Android 5.0 or Lollipop if you prefer, is something every Android fan wants to get their hands on. A widespread Lollipop release is still a long ways off, but today we’ve learned the rollout plans for the Asus ZenFone lineup.
Asus has been busy with its Asus ZenFone lineup since it was announced earlier this year, and the specs can vary greatly from one model to the next. As you’d expect, the Android 5.0 release won’t come to all of Asus’s devices, but it’s going to hit quite a few of the newer ones according to the new Asus Lollipop roadmap leak.
Asus has six devices listed as getting the Android 5.0 update, and none of them will get it this year. The Asus ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5, ZenFone 5 LTE, ZenFone 6, and PadFone S are all listed as getting the Lollipop update by or around April of next year. That’s a long way off, and PadFone Infinity A86 owners will have to wait a few additional months as it has a June 2015 release date.
Waiting is difficult, but a lot of devices will probably get the updates around the same time as it will vary by carrier and device — some handsets still don’t have KitKat yet. If you own one of the ZenFone’s, it’s great to hear you will receive the Android 5.0 update, you’ll just have to wait a while to get it.

Glad to know that Asus is concerned about its Customers even after the sale is made. I’m happy to be an Asus customer. As rightly pointed in the article, “waiting is difficult”. but, then, knowing that one’s device will get an update has a much more calming effect than to be kept waiting in the dark.
