Over the past week we’ve seen a number of price cuts on last year’s Galaxy Note 10.1. It was a popular slate, but it appears as if a follow-up is soon to be released. The aptly named Galaxy Note 10.1 (2015) has been listed on Samsung’s official site, and now it’s time for a bit of speculation.
The 2014 edition of the Galaxy Note 10.1 is a tough tablet to beat. It had everything you could want from a full-sized slate including a powerful Snapdragon 800 and 2,560 x 1,600 display. The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2015) is listed on Samsung’s official site as a compatible device for WatchON and a few other apps/services, so we know it’s just a matter of time before this year’s tablet is announced.
In terms of specs, we really have no idea what Sammy will do with the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2015), but it will be an improvement over the 2014 edition. That means we should be looking at a Snapdragon 801 or 805, a Super AMOLED display, and possibly upgraded snappers. We can’t imagine Samsung doing anything groundbreaking with the new slate, and it will more than likely ship with Android 4.4.4 instead of Lollipop unless it arrives later this year.
When a product gets listed, it usually doesn’t take long to hear something official or get a solid photo leak of the device. We may not know much about the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2015) at the moment, but we fully expect that to change in the coming weeks.
