The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 released at the beginning of this year and now we have some news of its successor, dubbed the Galaxy Grand 3. A device with model number SM-G7200 associated with the Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 has appeared in benchmarks, and this has revealed some of the specs.
The device showed up in the GFXBench database, and while there’s no news yet on when the Galaxy Grand 3 will release, benchmark spots usually mean it’s a step closer. The handset has already received Bluetooth 4.0 certification and it’s possible that the phone could release in India by the end of the year.
Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 specs include a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, Adreno 306 graphics, a 5.5-inch display with resolution of 1280 x 720, 1.5GB of RAM, and 16B of internal storage (12GB-user available). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing snapper, both with 1080p video capture. At the time of the benchmark the phone was running the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system.
If the above specs are confirmed when the Galaxy Grand 3 is launched, there are some notable camera improvements over the Galaxy Grand 2, which features an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9-megapixel front-facing unit. The Galaxy Grand 3 also has a slightly larger display, but we don’t yet know the battery capacity of the new version.
