If you own a mobile device, there is a pretty good chance you may have heard of Monument Valley. If not, you don’t know what you’re missing. The unique puzzler is widely regarded as one of the best mobile puzzle games on the planet, and today Monument Valley is free on Amazon.

The easiest way to describe Monument Valley is to say it’s like an M.C. Escher painting turned puzzle game. Just let that sink in for a minute. The goal of the game is to guide your little princess through the wild world by manipulating the environment around you. We can’t say too much or even show you many screenshots without giving things away, but we will say each stage is a bit harder than the last.

While Monument Valley is all about the puzzles, it’s also an “experience” unto itself. Things start out fairly simple, but you will honestly be amazed by what the game throws at you well before you reach level 10. There’s a storyline to follow as well considering it’s up to you to guide the silent Princess Ida through the monuments and crow people.

There are 10 stages in Monument Valley, and while the game is a truly beautiful experience, some felt it was rather short considering its $3.99 price tag. Amazon giving away such a great game is awesome, and while it doesn’t include the paid add-on (not out yet), you’ll be pleased to know more levels are on the way soon.
