Dual SIM smartphones are very popular in India and two that have arrived in recent months are the HTC Desire 820 Dual SIM and the Sony Xperia C3 Dual. These are mid-range devices that are attracting plenty of interest and are not too far apart as far as price is concerned. Today we have an HTC Desire 820 vs. Sony Xperia C3 India dual SIM clash with a specs comparison.

It’s worth noting that these phones also released in single SIM variants, but for the purposes of this specs breakdown we’re focusing on the dual SIM models. They are both Android smartphones so we’ll highlight the differences in specs and more so that you can see what they each offer to buyers.

Price
This varies by retailer and although they are in a similar price sector the Desire 820 is generally the more expensive of the two. As an approximate guide, the HTC Desire 820 Dual SIM can be found on sale for around Rs. 24,500 while the Sony Xperia C3 Dual is available for around Rs. 20,000.

It’s evident from the above that the Desire 820 has more to bring to the table, but it’s up to buyers to decide if they want to pay the extra cash for this handset. It has an octa-core processor, more RAM and internal storage, better camera capabilities, and a higher capacity battery. It’s worth noting though that the Xperia C3 does have the benefit of a removable battery that many people prefer.

There’s hardly anything between them where size is concerned and so some of your decision may also come down to which design you favour. In our opinion though, if you’re torn between these two smartphones it’s worth paying a bit more for the HTC Desire 820.

We’d like to hear your views on this. If you’re about to purchase one of these handsets will it be the HTC Desire 820 or the Sony Xperia C3? Do let us know with your comments.
