The HTC One M9 is already a hotly anticipated handset with a 2015 Q1 release expected. Early tips about this smartphone suggest it will be a top-flight handset, and in the first half of November we saw some initial rumored specs for the device that tied in very nicely with this. Now there’s a new round of HTC One M9 rumored specs that includes more detail.

The previous alleged specs included a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 5.2-inch Quad HD display (resolution of 2560 x 1440). We felt this was all plausible but thought the display might actually be larger. The new specs info has been leaked on Chinese social media, and while the CPU and RAM are the same, this time around it’s claimed to have a 5.5-inch QHD display.

Other leaked specs include a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (veering away from the UltraPixel camera?), a 3,500 mAh battery, and Bose tech stereo speakers. None of this would be surprising, but as usual we have to remember that this is not confirmed information. Another prospect for example would be a Snapdragon 810 64-bit processor.

Along with this new leak about the HTC One M9 a ‘Prime’ version was also touched on, but there was no information on this handset other than that. If all of the above pans out then the HTC One M9 will really hold its own in the flagship arena, and we hope to hear concrete news on the handset from MWC in Barcelona that takes place on March 2-5 next year.
