There has been talk about the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime smartphone for some time now, along with leaked specs for the unannounced handset. It briefly showed up with a price on an online retailer site in India before being removed, but today we have the latest Samsung Galaxy Core Prime India price and specs news.

Back in early October we reported on the leaked specs of the Galaxy Core Prime and it was subsequently listed on Flipkart with a price of Rs. 8,499. However, the retailer then removed the listing and currently there’s still no sign of it on the website. Now well-known Indian smartphone retailer Mahesh Telecom has added something to the mix with a Facebook post saying that the phone will launch at Rs. 9,599.

Samsung has still not officially launched the Galaxy Core Prime, but Mahesh Telecom has also spilled the beans on the phone’s specs, which largely tie in with the previously leaked specs. However the clock speed of the processor is slightly different and it’s listed as a dual SIM model.

Galaxy Core Prime specs are detailed as a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 4.5-inch display with resolution of 800 x 480, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage that’s expandable to 64GB via microSD. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2000mAh battery.

Connectivity is taken care of with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 3G. Other variants of the phone have been spotted with 4G LTE support. Dimensions of the Galaxy Core Prime (G360H) are 130.8mm x 67.9mm x 8.8mm and it has metal sides with a matte finish to the body. This phone runs the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
