The Sony Xperia Z4 has been popping up here and there since July, and today a new Xperia Z4 leak sheds a little light on the display. The rumor mill has been all over the place in regards to the handset’s screen size, and the new leak says it may be a bit smaller than previously anticipated.
We’ve touched on a few concept Sony Xperia Z4 handsets, but the last time we took a look at the Xperia Z4 specs it was before Turkey Day. That rumor said the Z4 would sport a 5.4-inch QHD TRILUMINOS display while others suggest a 5.5-inch phablet. Today’s Sony Xperia Z4 leak comes from an “agitated” insider and was put out to squash the big display rumors.
Phonearena is reporting they’ve received insider info from an internal presentation by Sony that shows the Sony Xperia Z4 to have a 5.2-inch display. We’re unsure of the resolution, so it could be the same display found on the Z3 or an updated QHD 5.2-inch QHD panel. The conflicting sources also claim the processor will be fast, but one says it will be a Snapdragon 805 while the other claims the Snapdragon 810.
We are officially in full rumor mode for several 2015 flagships at the moment, and we’re still weeks away from discarding last year’s calendar. The Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC Hima and the Sony Xperia Z4 are going to be hot topics over the next several months, and we’re going to be on hand to give the scoop on all of them. As for the Sony Xperia Z4 leak, we’ll just have to see how things pan out, but a 5.2-inch QHD panel sounds a lot more likely than a phablet-sized Z4 considering Sony is said to have the massive Z Ultra in the works.
What size display would you like to see on the Xperia Z4?
