Leaked Samsung Galaxy E7 specs confirmed through Benchmark
Samsung is on a roll. We’ve talked about the Samsung A Series, and a few short day ago the company released two of those handsets in Taiwan. Next up, is the Samsung E Series and we’ve just confirmed some previously leaked Samsung Galaxy E7 specs through a new benchmark listing.
Samsung may have reportedly axed the upcoming U Series, but the Samsung E Series is alive and kicking. We took a look at the Samsung Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7 specs last week, and now we can confirm the E7 specs through a new benchmark listing on GFXBench.
The Samsung Galaxy E7 is listed as the SM-E7000 and it will have a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720. Under the hood is a quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor humming along at 1.2GHz and backed by 2GB of RAM. You’ll have 16GB of storage to work with, but there has been no mention of a microSD card slot.
Sammy usually puts good cameras on its handsets, and the Samsung Galaxy E7 specs show a 12MP snapper on the back to go along with a 5MP sensor on the front. Other features to note include NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The benchmarked version is shown running Android 4.4.4 whereas the previous leak says the E7 will ship with 5.0 Lollipop. That’s really the only discrepancy, so it appears we’ve just met the Samsung Galaxy E7.
We still have no idea when the Samsung Galaxy E7 will arrive or exactly what it will look like. We don’t expect Samsung to do anything extreme with the E Series, but it will be interesting to see how it fits alongside the A Series and the popular Galaxy S lineup.
Do you look forward to more smartphones from Samsung or are they entering overkill mode?
