The G4 Stylus will be the follow-up to the LG G3 Stylus
Last year, LG rolled out several variants of its popular flagship, the LG G4. It should come as no surprise that they’ll do the same this year, and we have just gotten proof of one of the first variants. The LG G4 Stylus will be getting a sequel, and it looks to be called the G4 Stylus.
At the end of last year rumors started swirling around the LG G4 saying that it might come with a stylus which would put it on par with the Note 4. LG recently filed for a trademark on the name G4 Stylus as well although that leads us to believe it would be a separate device entirely and not included with the LG G4.
That USPTO application is for a device called the G4 Stylus and was filed on January 27, 2015. If you hope it’s going to carry the same high-powered specs as the LG G4 is rumored to have, the news isn’t he best. A new report suggests it will be a midrange handset, just like its predecessor the LG G3 Stylus. That said, the innards should be upgraded which means we could see a higher resolution display to go along with more RAM and storage. An octa-core chip may be in the cards as well.
The LG G3 Stylus was announced in August of last year before being released in various regions around October. While the company hasn’t announced anything official in regards to a G4 Stylus, we should see it arrive around the same time if not a bit before.
Would you be interested in a G4 Stylus if it has better specs?
