Xiaomi’s smartphone are extremely popular in China, and they’ve become fan favorites in India as well due to their low price and high specifications. Today, the company announced consumers in the country are in for a treat coming in the form of a Global Mi Phone event set in New Dehli.

Xiamoi appears to be pulling out all the stops for their Global Mi Phone event as the company’s founders and other executives will be on hand for the big event in New Dehli. The announcement came through Twitter with the tagline “i IS COMING” and the phrase Global Mi Phone Premier in New Dehli. Unfortunately, that’s all we have to go on at the moment, but it’s not hard to speculate on what they might unveil.

The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro and Mi Note would be two obvious choices for India, but the company has a slew of other products as well like the Mi Boxes and routers. It could just be one device with news on more to come, or the country could be getting a whole slew of Xiaomi products. Our guess is on the latter as we don’t believe Hugo Barra and the rest of the gang would all be present for a single phone release.

India has emerged as a region manufacturers are climbing over each other to get a foothold in, and Xiaomi’s Global Mi Phone event could take the wind out of a lot of sails. For what it’s worth, we believe the Mi Note’s will appear along with several other gadgets.
