Xiaomi has a lot of their customers chomping at the bit to see what they produce next, and the company is set to show something “Global” off at the end of the month in India. We know it will be a smartphone of sorts, and we may have just gotten our first look at it with the Xiaomi Mi 4i benchmarks.

Smartphone manufacturers often tinker with their lineups and the names of the devices that they provide. Now that we have that out of the way, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 4i isn’t a typo, but a new device that’s just shown up on GFXBench. It is a device that was previously unknown until now, but believed to be an international handset bound for India.

The Xiaomi Mi 4i benchmarks show a 4.9-inch handset with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080. It’s powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 which is backed by 2GB of RAM, and the storage capacity is listed at 16GB. The rear snapper on the Xiaomi Mi 4i makes use of a 13MP sensor, while the front-facing selfie snapper is listed at 5MP. There’s no mention of a battery of anything else of note, but it was benchmarked running Android 5.0.2.

While nothing has been confirmed, the India event invite did say the “i is coming” which points towards the Xiaomi Mi 4i. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long to find out if that’s the case, and we’ll back on April 24th when Xiaomi makes their big announcement.
