New iPod Pro vision features Apple Watch UI
Usually at Phones Review we concentrate on smartphones and tablets, but Apple iPods are also of interest to many readers. Many people would like to see something a bit different for a future iPod, and now one designer has come up with a new iPod Pro vision that uses the Apple Watch UI and is dubbed “the best iPod yet.”
It can be tantalizing to see concept ideas for devices as they can offer prospects of something to come, and this iPod design comes from Jomy Joseph. It takes its inspiration from recent Apple devices, as the Apple Watch UI is used for example. This music player, which Joseph describes as “an advanced next-generation iPod,” also features the Siri voice assistant.
A highlight of the device for music listening is that there would be no need for headphones because of “disruptive technology like parametric directional speakers” with Reverb Sense. It has also been designed so that it can be worn around the neck or clipped to clothing and is circular in shape.
The casing of this iPod is aluminum giving a durable and solid feel, and further features include Health sensors and an Activity app showing daily fitness progress with three rings. The iPod pro also uses hover controls with taptic feedback sensor so that you can access various functions with a gesture. We’ve included a few of the images here but you can see more at the source below.
We have to say that this is a striking and elegant-looking device, and we wonder what readers think. Would you be happy to see an iPod pro like this one come to fruition? Drop us your comments in the box below.
