Micromax has produced numerous Canvas Doodle handsets over the years, and they’ve proved popular with consumers in India looking for a large handset. A new one has appeared online today without being officially announced, and it’s called the Micromax Canvas Doodle 4.
The Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 is the fourth generation of the Canvas Doodle series, and the follow-up to the Doodle 3, which was released about this time last year. The newest version is a slight improvement over last year’s model, but with a few improvements that may make it worth a look.
Like its predecessor, the Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 will sport a 6-inch display with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, and a 1.3GHz quad-core chip. The display will have a better resolution this time around though as you’ll get a 1,280 x 720p panel compared to the 480 x 854 display found on the previous model. As for the cameras, the rear one remains 8MP, but the front-facing snapper gets bumped up to 2MP.
The Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 is a Dual-SIM capable device, so you’ll get two SIM card slots with 3G to go along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The battery is fairly large as well at 3,000mAh, so you should have plenty of juice considering the resolution of the display. Last but not least, is the OS which is listed as Android 5.0.
Mahesh Telecom in India has outed the Micromax Canvas Doodle 4, and while it isn’t listed on Micromax’s website, it’s said to be priced at Rs. 9,999. There’s been no firm release date set, but something official should break soon.
