Earlier today we told how Chinese manufacturer Coolpad had entered the market in India with the flagship Coolpad Dazen X7. The company has also now launched the Coolpad Dazen 1 phone at a budget price for India and we have the information you’ll need on specs and availability coming right up.

The Coolpad Dazen 1 smartphone has lesser specs than the Dazen X7 and also a much lower price of Rs. 6,999. Specs of the Dazen 1 include a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor, Adreno 306 graphics, and a 5-inch IPS display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720. It has 2GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage that’s expandable via microSD.

More specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper The Coolpad Dazen 1 is a dual SIM handset with a 2500 mAh battery, and it runs the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with Cool UI 6. Connectivity is taken care of with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.

The phone measures 141mm x 71.5mm x 9.3mm and weighs in at 155g. The Dazen 1 will be available in Moondust Grey and Baby Snow White color options. Now for availability, and registrations for the sale exclusively on Snapdeal begin at 6pm today. It will go on sale on June 9th.

It’s worth noting that the Coolpad Dazen 1 has exactly the same price as the Yu Yuphoria that becomes available from today, and will also compete price-wise against the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Moto E 2nd gen. Do you find the budget Coolpad Dazen 1 appealing?
