Many of our readers in India will have heard of the Micromax Canvas A1 (AQ4501) that released in the second half of last year. This phone was part of the Android One initiative, and now a Micromax Canvas A1 upgrade (AQ4502) has been launched that has more built-in internal storage. We have info on the price and more coming right up.
The Android One program has been extremely popular, with its intention to bring affordably priced smartphones with decent quality and guaranteed speedy updates for at least two years. The new refreshed Canvas A1 AQ4502 is already on sale at eBay India for Rs. 6,039.
Specs of the Micromax Canvas A1 AQ4502 include a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor, and 4.5-inch IPS display with resolution of 854 x 480. It has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that’s expandable via microSD to 32GB. There’s a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing snapper, and a 1700 mAh battery with standby time of 160 hours and talk time of up to 6 hours.
The dual SIM (GSM + GSM) device runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system out of the box. Connectivity includes 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The all-new Micromax Canvas A1 AQ4502 only offers a marginal improvement over the original Micromax Canvas A1 AQ4501, but is still likely to be pretty popular going by the success of previous Android One smartphones.
