Out of the blue today, Archos has decided to announce two new smartphone to the world with the Archos 50 Helium Plus and the Archos 55 Helium Plus. As their names imply, they share numerous similarities.
Budget is the first word that will come to mind when you get a load of the Archos 50 Helium Plus and 55 Helium Plus specs. The smartphones are very affordable, but attractive and offer up 4G LTE. That’s something we’re just now starting to see from more handsets in the $100 range, and Archos is getting in on the action.
Both the Archos 50 Helium Plus and Archos 55 Helium Plus are similar in nature aside from a few things. The Archos 55 Helium Plus sports a 5.5-inch 720p display with a 2,400mAh battery, while the 50 Helium Plus has a smaller 5-inch 720p panel and a 2,000mAh battery. Both devices are powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek chip, and have 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage space, and a 13MP/5MP camera combo. They Dual-SIM smartphones will run Android 5.0 and have the aforementioned 4G capabilities.
If you don’t need a top of the line device, the Archos 55 Helium Plus and Archos 50 Helium Plus are solid smartphones with a very nice price. The larger 55 Helium Plus is priced at $139 and comes with a microSD card, while the Archos 50 Helium Plus price is listed at $109. They will be ready to roll in July and available in Black or White if you’re interested in picking one up.
