Remember that Galaxy Grand Prime Value Edition that came out of nowhere last week? Well, it looks like it may have a sibling in the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition, which is rumored to arrive with Android 5.1 out of the box.
Like the Grand Prime VE, the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition isn’t going to be a smartphone that will impress most folks. It is another mid-range handset from Sammy, and if the rumors are true, it should be announced soon in ahead of a July release.
In terms of specs, the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition is said to have a 4.5-inch display with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 8GB of internal storage. The camera combo will be 5MP/2MP, and it’s going to have 4G LTE as well. If those specs sound familiar, it’s because they are the same ones found in the regular edition of the Core Prime. Surprised?
Keep in mind, at the moment the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition rumors are just that — rumors. The same can be said for the Grand Prime VE as we haven’t heard anything official from Samsung about either mediocre device. This leak didn’t come with a firm Samsung Galaxy Core Prime Value Edition release date, but a Dutch retailer has a ship date of July 23rd so we will hear something official soon if it’s legit.
Are you underwhelmed by the prospect of another mid-range Samsung smartphone?
