Intex has rolled out a slew of mid-range handsets this year, but powerful ones have been few and far between. The Intex Aqua Xtreme II has more pop than most, and it has just been announced for India with a price of Rs. 9,590.
Last year Intex introduced us to the Intex Aqua Xtreme, and the Intex Aqua Xtreme II basically the same smartphone with a new look and a different processor. That means it has the same 5-inch 720p panel found on the previous model along with a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing sensor. The new chip is listed as a 1.4GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M and is backed by 2GB of RAM.
The Intex Aqua Xtreme II is a slick looking handset, but it won’t be the skinniest phone around as it measures 140 x 71.9 x 7.9mm with a weight of 132grams. Connectivity options include the usual suspects like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS along with 3G and Dual-SIM connectivity. The Intex Aqua Xtreme II will draw its power from a 2,000mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.2 out of the box.
On paper, the Intex Aqua Xtreme II has plenty of pop and while the company only gave it a new wrapper, they have lowered the price. The original launched at Rs. 11,490 compared to the Intex Aqua Xtreme II price of Rs. 9,590/€135. The handset is available to purchase from online retailers in your choice of White, Black, Silver or Champagne.
