Redmi Note 4G India price slash competes with Lenovo K3 Note

#

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G launched with a very competitive price tag for India and has proven to be a hugely popular smartphone. Now the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G India price has been slashed, making this phone an even more appealing proposition. The price cut may also make it more able to compete with the more recent launch of the Lenovo K3 Note.

When the 4G version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note launched in India it was priced at Rs. 9,999 and only available in flash sales on Flipkart. Later the phone became available at some other retailers too, and from today the price has been lowered to Rs. 7,999, a tidy saving of Rs. 2,000. This was announced by Mi India on Twitter, and the new price cut applies to sales of the Redmi Note 4G at The Mobile Store, Airtel retail stores, Mi.com and also Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal.

Xiaomi says that it has been able to lower the price of the phone because of lower costs. However, it’s more likely that the company thought this would make the phone more appealing against the many other reasonably priced 4G LTE phones that have released in India recently. Some examples of this are the Yu Yuphoria, Moto E 2nd gen 4G, and Lenovo A6000 Plus.

Also in India there’s a huge amount of interest right now about the Lenovo K3 Note smartphone. The first flash sale of this phone will take place on July 8 and the price has been announced at Rs. 9,999. Without the new price for the Redmi Note 4G these two phones would have had the same pricing. However, the new price cut means that the Xiaomi phone now has the advantage of having the lower price. Were you thinking of purchasing the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G or the Lenovo K3 Note? If so, will the new lower price of the Xiaomi phone make this more appealing to you, or would you still rather pay more for the Lenovo device? We always appreciate your comments.
