A Panasonic T33 budget price phone has just launched for India and we have details ahead of price, specs, and more. This comes hot-on-the-heels of other recent new Panasonic smartphones such as the P55 Novo and Eluga Z, although the T33 is the cheapest of these and has lower-end specs. However, it could still appeal to buyers who don’t want to splash out too much money for a new handset.
The Panasonic T33 is a 3G smartphone in the ‘T’ series and it has a price tag of Rs. 4,990 including a free screen protector. It will be available in Duke Blue or Pearl White color choices. The phone will be on sale across India from the third week of July, so there’s not very long to wait.
Specifications of the Panasonic T33 include a 1GHz quad-core processor, a 4-inch IPS display with resolution of 800 x 480, 512MB or RAM, and 4GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD to 32GB). This dual SIM handset includes a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a VGA front-facing snapper, and a 1500 mAh battery.
Connectivity options of the Panasonic T33 include 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, and GPS, and the phone also has FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack. The handset measures 125.8mm x 65mm x 10.1mm and it weighs 126g. The T33 runs the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and supports 21 Indian languages. The handset features a leather-look back cover.
Panasonic India Managing Director Manish Sharma said of the launch,
“The T33 Smartphone has been developed and designed to overcome the fundamental problem of language barriers faced across India by giving them an option to choose from various languages to interact, engage, entertain and connect in their preferred language. We are sure that adding support for local language in the device will give an opportunity to our customers to communicate seamlessly.”
While the Panasonic T33 has a cheap price tag, there are plenty of affordably priced competitors out there so it remains to be seen whether this will make much of an impression on the market.
