Following big success for the Micromax Yu Yureka, the Yu Yuphoria arrived on the scene in May. Sales have been exclusively through Amazon.in using the flash sales system. This is becoming an increasingly common way of selling smartphones in India but is not always popular with buyers. There’s some good news now though, as we have details of the Yu Yuphoria open sale dates.

The Yu Yuphoria is a value for money smartphone, and just like the Yureka it’s selling in big numbers. It has a budget price of just Rs. 6,999 and comes in Champagne Gold with White or Buffed Steel with Black color choices. Now YU has announced that the Yuphoria will be up for grabs in open sale from July 21 to July 23. The company also states that over 100,000 units of the India-made smartphone will be available on Amazon.in for the open sale.

Key specs of the Yu Yuphoria include a Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor, 5-inch IPS display with resolution of 1280 x 720, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal (expandable). It has an 8-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing snapper, and a 2230 mAh battery. It also has 4G LTE connectivity, and it runs the Android 5.0 Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12 meaning it’s highly customizable.

YU founder Rahul Sharma said of the Open Sale “Staying true to the same commitment of creating more for our community, we are proud to announce our first batch of ‘Made in India’ only YUPHORIA phones. And that’s not all, it’s time we share back the love; we give you the first ever open sale with more than 100,000 units designed and assembled in India, through our partner Amazon.in.”
