Microsoft Lumia 850, 750, 550 specs tipped by source
We know from emails received from readers as well as comments in response to our articles, that many of you are eager for new Microsoft Lumia flagship devices. These are now widely rumored to be the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, but today we’ve heard new information about some lower-end models on the way. Read on for Microsoft Lumia 850, 750 and 550 specs that have been tipped by an unnamed source from internal documents.
Obviously as the above smartphones are not official yet, we have to reserve judgement over whether this news is the real deal. However, as most of the tech world’s information on new devices begins with leaks from unofficial sources this could well be genuine. We’ll point out that these are described as prototype specs that could be changed by the time of the finished articles. None of these support 4G LTE connectivity.
We’ll begin with the Microsoft Lumia 850, and claimed specs for this one include a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, Adreno 306 graphics, and a 5-inch display with resolution of 1280 x 768. There’s 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD up to 216GB), and it has a 10-megapixel rear Pureview camera with Zeiss optics and flash, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There’s WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, and WiFi hotspot, and it has a 2650 mAh battery.
Moving on to the Microsoft Lumia 750, this one is said to have a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, Adreno 306 GPU, and a 5-inch display with resolution of 1280 x 720. There’s 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage (expandable), an 8-megapixel rear camera with Zeiss optics, autofocus, and LED Flash, and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. This one also has a 2650 mAh battery, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, and WiFi hotspot.
Finally we get to the lesser-specced Microsoft Lumia 550. Unofficial specs for this one are a 1GHz Snapdragon 210 quad-core processor, Adreno 304 graphics, and a 5-inch display with resolution of 960 x 540. It has 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (expandable), a 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing unit. This one has a smaller 1905 mAh battery.
We’ll urge the usual large pinch of salt on these fresh Lumia rumors, as it’s the first time we’ve heard mention of these particular handsets. If accurate, what do you think of these unconfirmed specs for the Microsoft Lumia 850, 750 and 550? Do let us know using the comments box.
