Last month the stylish Oppo Mirror 5 smartphone was officially announced, but although the company gave details of specs there was no news on the price and release date. We knew that it would go on sale in 15 global markets though, and now the Oppo Mirror 5 India price and availability has been announced at its launch in the country.

Key details are a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, Adreno 306 graphics, 2GB of RAM, and a 5-inch display with rather lowly display resolution of 960 x 540. However, one of the highlights of this phone is its design. It has a bi-metallic frame and reflective prism appearance with cut-glass sections on the reverse to make the phone really stand out among the many others on the market.

At the launch Oppo Mobile India CEO Tom Lu said, “Our newest offering Mirror 5 is perfect interpretation of our design philosophy which is wisdom and innovation, shining above the ordinary. Oppo Mirror 5 is not simply a device built with appearance and performance in mind, its goal is to bring a spark of creativity to life.”

The Oppo Mirror 5 price in India has been confirmed at Rs. 15,990 and it will be available from this week. One thing worth pointing out is that the phone has 4G connectivity. However, at the launch it was not made clear whether it supports 4G LTE bands in India, although Band 40 support seems more likely than not.

The dual-SIM phone runs Oppo’s Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and it’s offered in blue or white colour choices. Its dimensions are 143.4mm x 71.2mm x 7.65mm and it weighs 160g. A feature of the Oppo Mirror 5 is the pre-loaded Smart Remote Control app that will be compatible with many household appliances.
