It’s safe to say that Samsung has made a name for themselves in mobile circles thanks to Android. While we will never see a Samsung iPhone, it looks like an unannounced Windows-based slate is in the pipeline.
The Samsung SM-W700 tablet has mysteriously appeared on an import listing for India from Zauba. Readers of our site will know that name well as we’ve seen a number of devices make an appearance for testing in the country through Zauba. Unfortunately, the Samsung SM-W700 tablet listing is like many of the previous leaks, so we don’t know much about the slate at the moment.
According to Zauba, the Samsung SM-W700 is listed as a 12-inch tablet with a price of INR 30,383, which shakes out to around $457 bucks in the states. No specifications are given, but it should be a tablet on the high-end if the price is close to correct. It’s not the first time a Windows-based Samsung slate has passed through the rumor mill either, so you’ll want to take the listing lightly, but without the usual dose of salt.
It remains to be seen when the Samsung SM-W700 tablet will make another appearance as the listing say’s this batch is not for sale, and will be destroyed after testing. Considering the holidays are right around the corner, we may learn more about the Samsung Windows tablet before 2016 rolls around.
