Gionee has introduced a new handset to the world today with the Gionee Pioneer P3S. The device is bound for India with a low price tag, which means we’re getting a large dose of mid-range specs.
The Gionee Pioneer P3S is part of the company’s P lineup, which we’ve covered numerous times over the past year. In terms of design, it looks about like every other handset out there with a plastic shell and a bit of metallic trim around the outside. It’s also not what we’d call svelte either with measurements of 133mm x 67.4mm x 11.2mm and a weight of 161grams.
Inside the Gionee Pioneer P3S, you’ll find a 1.3GHz quad-core chip backed by 1GB of RAM. The storage capacity is listed at 16GB but expandable up to 32GB while the display clocks in at 4.5-inches with a resolution of 854 x 480. Connectivity options for the Gionee Pioneer P3S include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3G HSPA+, and Dual-SIM connectivity. The device will get its juice from a 2,000mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 with the company’s Amigo UI 3.1 on top.
The Gionee Pioneer P3S won’t turn many heads with its design, but it is an affordable option for consumers in India. The Gionee Pioneer P3S price is set at Rs. 5,999 and it will be available in White, Grey, Red or Gold if you’re looking to pick one up.
