It’s becoming common to see new companies pop up in the smartphone world, and today we’ve learned of Zaydo. The Zaydo Pulse is set to be their first handset, and it may be worth a look due to high-end specs and a very reasonable price tag.
The Zaydo Pulse is in the phablet class, but it’s going to be slim at 154.1mm x 76.5mm x 5.55mm. The device sports a 5.5-inch Ultra Clear IPS panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 and has a pixel density of 401ppi. The processor is the popular Snapdragon 810 and with 4GB of RAM thrown in, you’re going to have plenty of power. You’ll have your choice of 32GB or 64GB of storage, and it’s expandable thanks to a microSD card slot.
Zaydo didn’t skimp in the camera department for the Zaydo Pulse, so you’ll get a 13MP Sony IMX214 sensor on the backside and a 5MP wide-angle snapper on the front. Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, GPRS/EDGE and 4G LTE. Rounding things out for the Zaydo Pulse is a removable 3,100mAh battery and DashOS, the company’s custom ROM based on Android 4.4.2.
The Zaydo Pulse is available in Midnight Black or Smoke White and it’s quite affordable. The 32GB model is priced at $319.99, while the 64GB Pulse will only set you back $369.99. The company has a full line of accessories available as well, but you get headphones, screen protectors and a cable in the box.
