Elephone Vowney release date is set for November 20th
The Elephone Vowney crossed our radars last month, and quickly got our attention due to its specs. Several features were up in the air, but those questions have been answered today with a full specs listing on the company’s website.
We knew the Elephone Vowney would rock a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440, but we weren’t sure about its overall size. The smartphone will measure 153mm x 76.8mm x 9.5mm and weighs only 156grams. That’s impressive considering there’s a massive 4,000mAh battery under the hood, but that’s just tip of the iceberg for the Elephone Vowney.
The Elephone Vowney will get its horsepower from an octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MTK6795, which is backed by 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity is listed at 32GB, but expandable up to 128GB thanks to a microSD card slot. Needless to say, you’ll be cloud free for a while.
In terms of the cameras, the phone will sport a 20.7MP Sony IMX230 on its backside to go along with an 8MP snapper for selfies. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and the usual suspects along with 4G. The Dual-SIM device is listed as running Android 5.1 straight out of the box.
If the Elephone Vowney is a phone you’d like to pick up, there’s good news as it’s up for pre-order straight from the company. The Elephone Vowney price is listed at $289, and it’s set to roll out on November 20th.
