Intex has rolled out plenty of devices from their Aqua range, and the Intex Aqua Play is the latest. The smartphone has just been announced for a release in India, and it certainly won’t break the bank at Rs. 3,249.
The Intex Aqua Play is geared towards folk on a budget, and it’s a clean looking handset with a minimal design and physical buttons. It measures 123.9mm x 65mm x 10.3mm, so it’s fairly thick but not too heavy at only 115grams. As for the Intex Aqua Play specifications, you don’t want to get too excited, but they will get the job done.
A dual-core MediaTek MT6572W will provide the horsepower to the Intex Aqua Play, and it will have 512MB of RAM to help it along. The display clocks in at 4-inches and has a resolution of 800 x 480 while the storage capacity is listed at 8GB but expandable up to 32GB through a microSD card slot. Other features to note include 0.3MP cameras on the front and rear, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G. The Dual-SIM Intex Aqua Play will run Android 5.1 out of the box and is powered by a 1,400mAh battery.
The Intex Aqua Play doesn’t have a lot going for it under the hood, but it’s affordable at Rs. 3,249 and runs a current version of Android with Lollipop. The Aqua Play is available to purchase in White, Black or Blue if you’re looking to pick one up.
