Asus ZenFone 2 Laser arrives in the US with $199 price tag and 3GB of RAM
Asus hasn’t been the easiest brand to get ahold if you reside in the states, but things have gotten better over the years. The Asus ZenFone 2 Laser is the company’s latest handset to arrive in the US, and it’s just gone on sale today with an attractive unlocked price tag.
Last week we told you about the Asus ZenFone 2 Laser release for India through Flipkart, and it appears that wasn’t the only region it was headed to. The smartphone has finally arrived for consumers in the US, and it won’t be the watered down version of the handset we saw released earlier this year.
The Asus ZenFone 2 Laser that’s bound for the states carries the model number ZE551KL and is the updated version with better specs. That means you’ll get a speedy 64-bit Snapdragon 615 and 3GB of RAM beneath the 5.5-inch FHD panel. The rear camera makes use of a laser-assisted 13MP snapper while the selfie sensor is listed at a respectable 5MP. Throw in 4G LTE, a 3,000mAh battery, and Dual-SIM connectivity and you’ve just met the US version of the Asus ZenFone 2 Laser.
There will be two versions of the Asus ZenFone 2 Laser for US consumers to choose. The 16GB model is priced at $199 while the larger 32GB model goes for $249 and is obviously the better deal. Both models are available starting today from the usual retailers like Amazon and Newegg or directly from Asus.
