A few months ago, the Oppo A33 rolled through TENNA but it appears to have a sibling. The Oppo A53 specs have just come to light through certification, and it’s a solid setup up if you though the A33 was a bit underwhelming.
The Oppo A53 is another mid-ranger from the company, but it’s a little beefier than its sibling, the Oppo A33. That means you’ll get a larger 5.5-inch display this time around with an increased resolution of 1,280 x 720. The chip powering the show is listed as a 1.5GHz octa-core processor, which is backed by 2GB of RAM and there’s 16GB of expandable storage as well. Again, it’s a step up with the horsepower and RAM.
On the backside of the Oppo A53, you’ll find a 13MP sensor with an LED flash while the front-facing snapper clocks in 5MP. All the usual bells & whistles should be present in the connectivity department along with Dual-SIM and 4G LTE. As usual, there is no mention of the battery size but the Oppo A53 was tested running Android 5.1.1.
While the Oppo A53 is bound for a release in China, the specifications and potential price make a wider rollout seem likely. The handset will be available in Silver or Gold whenever it arrives, and we’ll be around to bring you the scoop as soon as that happens.
