At the end of last month we reported that the HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM was heading for sale in India. It’s a variant of the HTC Desire 728 that previously launched in China, and although we didn’t know when it would arrive for India, we did have an initial price indicator. Now the HTC Desire 728G price has been confirmed at its India launch, and that earlier pricing news was spot on.

The HTC Desire 728G price in India has been announced as Rs. 17,990, and it comes in Purple Myst and White Luxury colour choices. Potential buyers will be pleased to know that the Desire 728G features front-facing dual BoomSound speakers and Dolby Audio. However, it does not have 4G LTE connectivity and instead supports 3G HSPA+ and Dual SIM with dual GSM or GSM + CDMA (nano SIMs).

Specifications of the HTC Desire 728G include a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor and Mali-T720 graphics, and it has a 5.5-inch HD display with 1280 x 720 resolution. The phone gets its juice from a 2800 mAh battery, and runs the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system skinned with HTC’s Sense UI.

If you enjoy photography with your smartphone there’s a 13-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 27mm lens, LED flash, and 1080p video recording capability. As well as this you’ll find a 5-megapixel front shooter with BSI sensor, f/2.8 aperture, 33.7mm lens, and 1080p video capture.

Further HTC Desire 728G specs include 1.5GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage that you can expand with microSD card to a whopping 200GB. Dimensions of the handset are 157.9mm x 77.8mm x 7.87mm and it weighs 153g. As you would expect, the phone also has FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack, and further connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.
