If you frequent our site, you’ve seen a number of smartphones covered with large batteries. Well, we have just come across the daddy of them all with the upcoming MACOOX EX1.
Depending on how deeply entrenched you are in the smartphone world, you may or may not have heard of MACOOX. The Chinese manufacturer has produced plenty of handsets, and while the MACOOX EX1 doesn’t scream flagship, it has one very interesting feature under the hood.
The MACOOX EX1 is about as mid-range as it gets thanks to a 4.5-inch panel and a quad-core chip of unknown origins. The RAM is listed at 1GB, and there is 8GB of internal storage to work with as well. Other features to note include 4G LTE, an 8MP rear camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera along with Dual-SIM connectivity. While the specs are underwhelming, the battery powering it all clocks in at 9,000mAh… just let that sink in for a minute.
Some details are still up in the air for the MACOOX EX1, and we are curious to see some in-hand shots as it looks like a miniature brick in the photos. Needless to say, this one won’t be easy to get your hands on unless you reside in the Far East and the MACOOX EX1 price is still unknown at this time.
