If you’re not knee deep in the smartphone world, things can get confusing rather quickly when it comes to Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy A9 is an upcoming smartphone from the company’s A series, and the Samsung Galaxy A9 specs have just come to light through a new benchmark listing.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 has been making its way through the rumor mill for months, and we last caught wind of it as it cleared Bluetooth SIG. In regards to the horsepower, the Samsung Galaxy A9 specs have been a topic of debate, but things have become clearer today thanks to a new listing over on Geekbench.
According to the Geekbench listing, the Samsung Galaxy A9 specs show a device with a new 64-bit Snapdragon 615, which has four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.4GHz to go along with four Cortex-A72 at 1.8Ghz. It’s going to be peppy, and we know it will have plenty of RAM as the Samsung SM-A9000 is listed with 3GB. The chip matches the previous leaks, and the rest of the Samsung Galaxy A9 specs are said to include a 5.5-inch FHD panel, 32GB of storage, and a 16MP rear snapper.
We’re still not sure when the Samsung Galaxy A9 release date will arrive, but the handset was tested on November 20th running Android 5.1.1. If it arrives next year, we could get Marshmallow straight out of the box.
