If you’ve tired of companies like Samsung and Apple, ZTE has been a brand to watch. Their Axon lineup has gotten a lot of attention, and the ZTE Axon Mini Premium Edition has just been announced as the latest handset in their growing arsenal.
The original ZTE Axon Mini went global back in October, and a solid sale on the handset caught our eye last month ahead of the busy holiday rush. The specifications were far better than most “mini” smartphones we’ve seen as well, but if you weren’t impressed the first time around, you may dig the new ZTE Axon Mini Premium Edition.
The main claim to fame for the ZTE Axon Mini Premium Edition is something from Apple’s playbook. The handset will feature a new pressure-sensitive tech ala Force Touch, and the shell is made from a strong aircraft-grade aluminum. As for the ZTE Axon Mini Premium Edition specs, you’ll get a 5.2-inch AMOLED FHD panel, Snapdragon 616 and 3GB of RAM to go along with 32GB of expandable storage.
On the backside of the device, you’ll find a 13MP snapper while the front-facing camera is listed at 8MP. All the usual bells & whistles are present in the connectivity department as well along with a fingerprint scanner, eye recognition and voice control through a dual-mic setup. Throw in a 2,800mAh battery, 4G LTE, and dual SIM connectivity and you’ve just met the ZTE Axon Mini Premium Edition.
If you’re interested in the ZTE Axon Mini Premium Edition, it’s up for pre-order through AliExpress for around $390 unlocked. If you act fast, you can save a considerable amount of cash though as the Rose Gold and Gold options will be listed for $299 on December 10.
