Last month we informed readers that the InFocus M680 smartphone had become listed on Snapdeal. Although this showed some specs of the device, there were no details at that time about pricing or when it would go on sale. However, the InFocus M680 availability date and price are now official as it has just launched.

It wasn’t clear whether the phone would only be available from Snapdeal but we can now confirm that this retailer has exclusivity of the phone. The InFocus M680 price is Rs. 10,999 and it will be on sale from December 21st so there’s only a week to wait. If you’re one of the first 2000 buyers you’ll also receive a free selfie stick with a value of Rs. 1,000.

Specifications of the InFocus M680 include a 1.5GHZ MediaTek MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor, Mali-T720 MP2 graphics, and a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 and featuring Tempered Glass. The phone has 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage that’s expandable with microSD card (using second SIM slot) to 64GB. It’s juiced by a 2600 mAh battery.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and Bluetooth, and it’s a hybrid dual SIM handset. Camera-wise you’re looking at a 13-megapixel camera on the back with Samsung 3M2 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, autofocus, LED flash, and 1080p video capture. A highlight is that there’s also a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with autofocus and 1080p video recording capability.

The InFocus M680 runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, which at some point will be upgradable to Android 6.0 marshmallow. It measures 156mm x 76.8mm x 7.25mm and weighs in at 158g. This handset will be offered in gold or silver colors and it has a metal build.
