Asus has just unleashed a new device from their ever-expanding arsenal, and it’s geared towards budget-minded consumers in India. The Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 is the name of their new handset, and it’s definitely affordable at only Rs. 5,299.
We’ve seen a number of sub-$100 devices roll out this year, and we don’t expect that trend to stop anytime soon. More people are walking around the globe with smartphones than ever before, and Asus hopes to further that cause with the Asus ZenFone Go 4.5. While it is far from a powerhouse, it has enough pop to get the job done if you are comfortable with 3G connectivity.
The big bezeled Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 sports a 4.5-inch panel with a resolution of 854 x 480 and is powered by a MediaTek MT6580 along with 1GB of RAM. The internal storage is listed at 8GB, but expandable through a microSD card slot. Despite its size, the Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 is a thick little handset with measurements of 67mm x 135mm x 10.1mm and it carries a weight of 133.5grams.
As mentioned, the Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 doesn’t come with 4G, so you’ll get 3G to go along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The rear camera is listed with a 5MP sensor while the front-facing camera is a VGA snapper. The Dual SIM Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 will sip its power from a 1,600mAh battery and will run Android 5.1 with Zen UI 2.0 on top.
Flipkart has snagged online sales of the Asus ZenFone Go 4.5, so you’ll have to turn to the e-tailer if you’re interested in picking it up online. The Asus ZenFone Go 4.5 is available in Black and its price is listed at Rs. 5,299, which shakes out to around $80 in the states.
