Yesterday we saw evidence of a Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 in testing and today we have further news on the Galaxy J1 2016. The original J1 released in February last year, so a successor might not be too far away. Now some new Samsung Galaxy J1 2nd gen leaked images have surfaced, and they appear to show the color options that will be available.
The Galaxy J series are more affordable Samsung smartphones, and in late December we showed an image purporting to be of the next Samsung Galaxy J1. The picture showed a typical looking budget Galaxy handset and was accompanied by some leaked specs for the device.
The tipped specifications of the Samsung Galaxy J1 2nd gen included an Exynos 3457 processor, a 4.5-inch WVGA display, 1GB of RAM, and internal storage that’s expandable via microSD. Further rumored specs are a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing snapper, and dual SIM support. The phone is also tipped to be running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Bear in mind that none of this can be confirmed as the phone has not been made official yet.
The newly leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy J1 2nd gen have surfaced via well known leaker @evleaks, an often reliable source of upcoming device news. The handset shown seems to tie in with the one depicted in the earlier leaked image, which showed the white version of the phone. The latest shots give us a much clearer look at the device and show the phone in black and gold colors, as well as white.
It’s reported that the new Galaxy J1 2016 has already passed through the FCC, so an official launch could be just around the corner. We’ll be back with more information as we hear it, so do check back with us from time to time. Are you a potential buyer for the Samsung Galaxy J1 2nd gen? Do let us know with your comments.
