Asus P008 ZenPad tablet specs from benchmark spot
It’s always good to see early indicators of upcoming devices, and if you’re a fan of the ZenPad series from Asus this news will interest you. We have news of some Asus P008 ZenPad tablet specs from a benchmark spot. It look as though a successor to last year’s Asus ZenPad 8.0 is on the way, and it’s likely to be heading to an official launch soon.
We often see indications of upcoming devices on benchmarking website GFXBench, and now a tablet with the codename Asus P008 has appeared on its database. The Asus P008 is revealed as having a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 64-bit hexa-core processor, Adreno 510 graphics, and a 7.9-inch display with resolution of 2048 x 1536.
Further specs listed for the Asus P008 ZenPad include 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and prospective buyers will be pleased to hear it will be running the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system on release. It carries an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and up front there’s a 2-megapixel front-facing unit.
From the details here it looks as though the Asus P008 will be a mid-range tablet, and speculated pricing puts it at around the $200 to $250 mark. Once we see upcoming products show up on benchmarking sites, we often see an official launch before too much longer. MWC 2016 in Barcelona is coming up and runs from February 22 to February 25, and it seems highly likely that Asus will formally introduce this new tablet during the event.
