We knew that ZTE were about to announce a new smartphone at an event today. However, rather than the ZTE Z11 or Nubia X8 that were previously rumored, it’s the Nubia Prague S that has been announced. It has some similarities to the existing My Prague handset, but of course also some differences. Read on for ZTE Nubia Prague S specs, price and more.
The ZTE Nubia Prague S is already available to pre-order in China with sales starting on January 23. The price for China is CNY 2,499 and that equates to around $380, £265, €348 or Rs. 25,700. The phone is offered in Rose Gold or Silver color choices. Specifications include a Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor (four cores at 1.5GHz and four at 1GHz), Adreno 405 graphics, and a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080.
Further ZTE Nubia Prague S specs are 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 64GB of internal storage (expandable to 128GB via microSD card), and a 2200 mAh battery featuring fast charging. It’s a hybrid dual SIM phone (micro + nano /microSD) meaning the second SIM slot can be used for storage expansion. It supports options of 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS.
Up front there’s an 8-megapixel shooter with 78-degree wide viewing angle, and on the reverse you’ll find a 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. This phone runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with Nubia UI 3.0. It measures 148.2mm x 72.5mm x 6.8mm and weighs in at 135g.
The slim ZTE Nubia Prague S has an anodized aluminum frame, and it features an Eyeprint ID iris scanner, and FiT (Frame Interactive Technology).
