OnePlus X OxygenOS 2.2.0 update starts rolling out in India

We always enjoy passing on news of updates for various devices, and today’s news is for owners of the OnePlus X. This is the latest smartphone from OnePlus and it released late last year. It runs the Android-based OxygenOS and the good news today is that the OnePlus X OxygenOS 2.2.0 update is now rolling out in India.

This upgrade for the operating system comes a few months after the OxygenOS 2.1.3 update was pushed out. The OnePlus X OxygenOS 2.2.0 over-the-air update arrival was announced on the OnePlus forums today. As usual with these kinds of updates it will be gradually rolled out so you may need to be a little bit patient.

The OxygenOS 2.2.0 update is around 40MB in size and it brings Google’s January security patch along for the ride. One of the fixes with this latest OnePlus X OxygenOS update is for USSD issues in India. This means that pre-paid users will now be able to received USSD notification following data usage, SMS, or after a call. Another benefit is the manual camera mode that’s already available for the OnePlus 2.

OnePlus has posted a list of the inclusions with this OTA update and the changelog is as follows –

Manual mode for Camera App
Save to SD card option in Camera App
USSD bug fix for India
Added dual SIM preferences back in system settings
OTA App upgrade
Security patches
General bug fixes and optimizations
