Lava produces a steady stream of new devices for India. Now the Lava A71 4G smartphone has arrived for sale with a budget price and front and back flash for the cameras. The entry-level phone is already up for grabs and you can find out details about specs and more by reading on.
The Lava A71 4G of course has 4G LTE connectivity, and it also supports 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and microUSB 2.0. It’s powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek quad-core processor and has a 5-inch display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720 with protection from Corning Gorilla Glass. It’s equipped with 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 32GB).
The phone runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system that will be upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow at some point. A removable 2500 mAh battery keep the lights on, and it’s a dual SIM (GSM + GSM) handset with FM Radio and a 3.5mm audio jack. Camera-wise you’re looking at a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie fans that is also equipped with LED flash for low-light conditions.
The handset has an alloy frame and polycarbonate reverse. The Lava A71 4G price (MRP) has been set at Rs. 6,499 but the online price of the phone from IndiaTimes shopping is Rs. 5,849. There are two color options available, Blue with Silver or White with Gold, and both choices are in stock with free shipping available at the time of writing.
If you’re considering a purchase of this new Lava smartphone, you might also want to think about the Lava X3 that launched last week. Although the Lava X3 lacks 4G LTE connectivity, it does have 2GB of RAM and higher megapixel cameras.
