Panasonic brings some very appealing smartphones to the market in India and today we have news of another arrival. The new Panasonic P66 Mega is a mid-range smartphone in the company’s P-series, and you can check out the specifications, price and more as they’re coming right up.
The P66 Mega will not be your choice if you’re looking for 4G LTE connectivity, as it only supports 3G. The Panasonic P66 Mega is a cheaper handset though and has enough to offer for its price of Rs. 7,990. That includes a free screen guard and rear cover, and it’s offered in Electric Blue, Russet Brown, and Rose Gold color choices.
Specs of the Panasonic P66 Mega include a 1.3GHz 64-bit quad-core processor, and a 5-inch IPS display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720. There’s 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable with microSD card to 32GB), and a 3200 mAh battery. The main camera at the rear is 8-megapixels with LED flash and 1080p video capture, while up front there’s a 5-megapixel shooter.
Connectivity options for the Panasonic P66 Mega include 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS, and it has FM Radio and a 3.5mm audio jack. The dual SIM handset runs the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and it measures 142.5mm x 70.9mm x 8.4mm. The phone also includes support for 21 Indian languages. Panasonic India, Business Head — Mobility Division, Pankaj Rana, said of the launch —
Digital India is about all about bridging the digital divide through technology and connecting people to the digital world in their own language. The growing numbers of mobile Internet users in India is proof of the digital aspirations of Indians today. By deploying a multi-language portfolio in our latest device, Panasonic seeks to connect Indians through smartphone technology to the world of opportunities in mobile banking, online shopping, social networking and virtual entertainment.”
