After a bit of a layoff, Intex has kicked things into high gear with their smartphone releases. The Intex Aqua Freedom is one of the latest devices in their arsenal, and it’s set to be a budget-friendly handset with an affordable price tag.
Budget handsets come in many different shapes and sizes, and the Intex Aqua Freedom is about average with a 5-inch 1,280 x 720 display and overall dimensions of 144.4mm x72.5mm x 8.65mm with a weight of 150grams. The chip powering the show is listed as a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, which will get some help from 1GB of RAM. As for the storage, you’ll get 8GB under the hood, but can kick it up to 32GB with a microSD card.
On the backside of the Intex Aqua Freedom, you’ll find a 5MP camera with an LED flash, while the front-facing camera is listed at 2MP. You will get Dual SIM connectivity to go along with Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi, but will have to make due with 3G on this one. A 3,000mAh battery will help keep things humming along and the OS is listed as Android 5.1 Lollipop.
As you’d expect, the Intex Aqua Freedom is going to carry a reasonable price tag of around Rs. 5,790 in the region which shakes out to around $84 bucks in the states. This one hasn’t started showing up on e-tailers just yet, but that is expected to change soon.
